Satan's Affair
by H.D. Carlton
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
“Real Monsters Don't Wear Masks"
For this to be the first book I managed to finish all the way through, oh my.
I started this book mainly because I wanted to read The Cat & Mouse Duet by the same author and was informed that I should read this one first before I start the others.
And I will say, this book was definitely interesting.
Satan’s Affair is a traveling fair of haunted houses. Here, we have Sibel and her henchmen doing the dirty work of hunting evil and executing them.
The beginning of the book was slow and just pure smut, in my opinion. I was worried I was going to DNF this book, but I had the goal to finish. And I am glad I did! The book got much better! The book has a lot of gore to it, so be prepared for those details.
Sibby. My dear Sibel. I love her. Yes, she’s psycho, a bit deranged and totally unalives people, yet I am completely cool with that. You go girl! Get rid of those evil people! I support you!
“You can’t hide from fate. That’s the funny thing about destiny, even if you try to escape it, it will always find you.”
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
[I haven’t always rated spice levels in the books I’ve read so bear with me. Once I read enough books like this, I should have a decent enough rating scale.]
This book definitely had me blushing and feeling some type of way. Like wow girl, get it with them henchmen of yours. Even more so when I got to the end. I was like, wooow.
So, if you like dark and crazy, smut and violence, cults and trigger warnings. Then this book is for you.
Plus, there is a very important character introduction for the Cat & Mouse Duet series in this book!
