Violet Sorrengail is a bookworm and the general's daughter. She just wants to be a scribe but is now having to join the Riders Quadrant to prove herself to her mother that she can survive.

Xaden Riorson is the ruthless son of a notorious traitor. A Shadow wielder, wing leader of the Fourth Wing, and a bad boy baring the rebellion relic. Everyone wants him in some way. And based on the internet...everyone.

I love the dragons and their personalities that they have. Rebecca Yarros did amazing in bringing them to life.

With every good story there is a villain. Jack tries so hard to be that guy. He's annoying, especially in the beginning of the story. Sir, chill please. Dain, on the other hand. Oh my, I swear. I never trusted him from the beginning. He acts like he is the savior of the world and of Voilet. I felt from the very beginning this man child is going to cause some issues and headaches. Dain is for sure the character I hate most in this book.

My favorite character, on the other hand, is definitely Liam. Quiet yet funny. The silent helper and the best of the year. I cried. At work. That is all I am going to say.
