Lights Out

By Navessa Allen

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the first book in Navessa Allen's Into Darkness series.

My coworker actually highly recommended me this series, and I am so happy she did! This book definitely had my attention from the moment I started reading it and lived up to the hype that I have been seeing all over the internet!

"Can you handle the ride?"

The main female lead, Aly, is a badass confident woman and a nightshift ER nurse. I love how there was a friendship between her and the hospitals lab technician. Yay to nurse and lab tech friendships!! She’s also someone that is not afraid to embrace her dark side.

Now let’s talk about Josh. Josh is such a golden retriever cat daddy and that just made him perfect. Like, you wanna stalk me but like in a keep me safe type of way? Oh, you love my cat like it’s your own child too? Umm. Yes please. This reclusive, tech savvy, internet legend will have you squealing like the fan girl I know you will become.

"The couple that slays together, stays together."

There are trigger warnings and content descriptions that are pretty serious so take heed.

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

[I haven’t always rated spice levels in the books I’ve read so bear with me. Once I read enough books like this, I should have a decent enough rating scale.]

The chemistry between both Aly and Josh is HOTT. I love how they explore with each other and how Aly is not afraid to go dark when it comes to trying things out with Josh.

10/10 recommend and will be reading the second book in Navessa Allen’s Into Darkness series: Caught Up
