“I love you, I have loved you, I will love you.”
This story was so beautiful. The concept was unique, and I think that’s what drew me in. That and the cover of the book...
Evelyn and Arden are fated mates, cursed lovers, doomed to die young and reincarnate over and over and over again by their 18th birthday. I know. But it really was a beautifully written story.
The story was written based on Evelyn's perspective. Always heartbroken, confused, and clueless as to why her end was always coming by the hands of someone she loves.
"The cruelest fate the gods and stars had ever written: the person I loved most in the world was the person who would ultimately destroy me."
The book was told from each of their reincarnated lives of the past, present, and future.
In the present, Evelyn fights back doing everything she can to stay alive for her sister in her current life. And THAT is when we finally get our why.
"Bravery is picking up the fear and carrying it alongside you, rather than allowing it to block the path."
If you do not pay attention to the chapter names, which are the reincarnated moments of their lives, you will get lost and confused. I had to go back and forth many times to make sure I wasn’t merging reincarnated lives.
I definitely recommend this book to read. That way you can flip back and forth through the lives they have lived.
